Features for this year’s show

We are very excited to announce some new additions to this year’s show. This year, along with all the wonderful family fun activities, the beautiful cars, the great trophies, door prizes, and fun activities we get to experience, we get to add cash to our prizes.

This year, we will have $1,000 in cash prizes split across three trophies. The prizes will break out as follows:

Best of Show $500 Muscle cars Judges Award $250 Muscle cars Judges Award $250 Non-muscle cars

That is a NICE addition to the show!

We will have TWO RAFFLES during the show. Starting at 9am and running until 2pm, we will have regular drawings for prizes. Raffle tickets for this drawing are $2.00 each. Winners are announced immediately and tickets must be presented to win.

From 2pm until 3pm, we will introduce a 50/50 raffle. You are probably familiar with this but just in case you are not, we start a pot with each ticket sold. At 3pm, we draw a name. The holder of that ticket splits the pot 50/50 with the show. Tickets to this raffle are $20 each. The winner will be announced during the awards presentation and the winning ticket must be presented.

We have redesigned our category awards. They are not “true blue” categories like other shows, but we hope you will enjoy them. We have listed the judging details. Visit the DETAILS page for all of this information and a list of the trophies for this year's show.

While we understand there are other car shows for you to attend, it is our goal to make this the featured show of Labor Day weekend. The funds raised at this show do not increase our bank accounts and do not help us put on a better year-end party. All of the money we raise through this show directly benefits uncompensated care at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. Uncompensated care provides quality medical care to all children in our region regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

Check back often as we will update this site as we add new activities to the show. Also, spread the word to all your car-loving friends, encouraging them to come out on Saturday, August 30th and be a part of this event. And remember the rally cry for the show:

It is all for the kids at Children’s!

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, August 30, 2008!
