WHY WE BENEFIT CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

There are a lot of charitable organizations around the Seattle area which are extremely worthwhile, but one of the most diverse is Children's Hospital. For those of us who have children, at one time or another we may have visited Children's Hospital or know a family member or friend whom has. Children's Hospital (Seattle) is an independent, not-for-profit pediatric center ranked among the best in the United States, serving as a referral center for Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. For 100 years, Children's Hospital has had a commitment to provide care for children regardless of race, sex, creed, ethnicity, disability or ability to pay. All children have unique needs and should grow up without illness and injury. Children's Hospital will provide more than $43 million in uncompensated care, which distributes quality medical care to all children of the Northwest, regardless of their families ability to pay. Is it now time to give a little something back to the community around us, join with us in celebrating the American muscle car, while at the same time benefiting Children's Hospital.

The SOVREN Guild

Proceeds from Muscle Car Madness benefit the SOVREN Guild of Children's Hospital. The SOVREN Guild formed in 1991 with the sole purpose of working with SOVREN (Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts) to produce and present the Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage Auto Races as a benefit for uncompensated care. The guild's main roles include promoting the Historics, securing sponsorship, advertisers, and vendors, in-kind and monetary donations, coordinating over 250 volunteers, and planning all of the hospitality events during race weekend. The guild offers incredible visibility for the hospital through the Pacific Northwest Historics. For more information on this event, please see the www.northwesthistorics.com web site.

Other SOVREN Guild Events

In 2003, the SOVREN Guild added another event to the Children's family, the Kirkland Concours d'Elegance, where 80 of the finest and most exotic classic and antique cars are on display. For more information on this event, please see the www.kirklandconcours.com web site.
