Celebrating American Muscle Cars From 1960-1974!
TOP Food & Drug MUSCLE CAR MADNESS
A message from the co-chairs
We would like to express our deepest appreciation to you for spending part of your Labor Day weekend with us. Without you and your support for the Top Food and Drugs MUSCLE CAR MADNESS, benefiting Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center, we would not have been able to make this show happen.Your involvement helped make this our most successful year to date, raising $4141.00. We had 124 cars registered, which is up from past years.
As you may know, Muscle Car Madness is one of three events the SOVREN Guild hosts to benefit Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center. The other two are the Pacific Northwest Historics, set for July 4 - 6, 2008 and the Kirkland Concours d'Elegance, which will be on Sunday, September 7th, 2008. Together, these three events grossed over $865,000 this year. This donation benefits uncompensated care at Children's Hospital.
Again, thank you for having made the time to be there for us and for Children's.
As we look forward to our 2008 show, we hope you will spread the word for our next show, August 30, 2008, to all your car-loving friends, encouraging them to come out and be a part of this event. We would also like to encourage you to visit this WEB site regularly for continued information.
With the 2008 show, we will redesign our category awards to eliminate some of the issues experienced to date with this show. We will also review our methods for awarding door prizes and running the raffle. We are looking at introducing a 50/50 raffle. As we make these and other decisions, we will let you know, through this WEB site, and other means available. We encourage you to check back here often.
While we understand there are other car shows for you to attend, it is our goal to make this the featured show of Labor Day weekend. The monies raised at this show do not increase our bank accounts, do not help us put on a better year-end party. All of the money we raise through this show directly benefits uncompensated care at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. Uncompensated care provides quality medical care to all children in our region regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
Our goal for 2008 is 200 car registrations. We need your help to meet, or exceed, that goal. Come, bring your friends, and make this show into the featured show on Labor Day weekend. After all, it is all for the children!
Thanks,
David and Debbie
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, August 30, 2008!
